Kids and Easy show the first letter and a clue for every word. Medium shows the clue only, and Hard gives just the scrambled letters.

How does the AI scramble word generator work?
When you enter a topic, our AI picks words about it at the level you chose and writes a short clue for each one. Then your browser mixes up the letters of every word, making sure no word stays the same and longer words are never just spelled backwards.
Can I use my own words and clues?
Yes. Choose "Type my own words" and enter one word per line. To add a clue, put it after a dash or a colon, like "apple - Keeps the doctor away" or "apple: Keeps the doctor away". You can also press Edit words on an AI puzzle to change its words and clues.
What do the difficulty levels change?
Kids picks short, easy words and shows the first letter and a clue. Easy shows the first letter and a clue. Medium shows only the clue. Hard shows just the scrambled letters, with no clue and no first letter.
How do I print the worksheet or save it as a PDF?
Press Print worksheet for the title, Name and Date lines, and numbered scrambled words with a blank line to write each answer. Press Print answer key for a copy with the answers filled in. In the print window you can choose Save as PDF.
How many words can a word scramble have?
AI puzzles have 6 to 25 words. Your own list can have up to 30 words, each 2 to 20 letters long.
Can a scrambled word spell another word?
Rarely, yes. Some letter mixes happen to make a different real word, like "listen" and "silent". The answer checker accepts only the word that was scrambled, so press New scramble if a mix looks confusing.
